Who IS Lea Mishell?!

As I grew up, I had three major goals for my life: to become a Mother; to become a Wife; to become an Author.

I accomplished my goal to become a mother on Monday, March 25, 1996 when I gave birth to my first child. I am now the mother of three and I’ve been in Mom Mode ever since. I twice accomplished the goal of becoming a wife and I am currently happily married. I didn’t really expect to learn as much as I have from my family. I pray they learn as much from me as I have learned from them. In between birthing babies and jumping brooms, I wrote a book. So there. I’m an author, too! Now, thanks to the love and support of my family and loved ones, I have a new focus: Author. Columnist. Publisher. Motivator.

 

AUTHOR. From the age of 16, I’ve been a writer. In college, I was advised to write what I know. By 30, I published my first book, “Livin’ Just Enough.” Fast forward to today and I’ve added to my first two books to create my first Urban Fairy Tale book series: SistaGirlz. Now in my 40’s, my writing has matured and I have expanded into erotica with my first novella in my Mistress Harding series: “You Me Him Her.”

 

COLUMNIST. Over the years, I have dabbled in journalism via my exclusive relationship columns in various publications. From “Bitchin’ and Moanin’ with Mickey Mo” to “Real Talk with Lea Mishell”. Stepping into the digital age, I can be found online currently with “SHARE THE LOVE” where I share my life’s journey. It’s almost unexplainable how much it gives me joy to help others to not make some of the missteps I’ve unfortunately encountered.

 

PUBLISHER. Currently, I’m publishing my ebooks through Leanpub.com. I haven’t settled on with who I’ll publish my paperbacks. Once, I’ve established my publishing flow, I plan to mentor other authors to do the same for themselves.

 

MOTIVATOR. A large part of me has always wanted to genuinely help others. I’ll be more inclined to help someone who is helping themselves but needs an extra hand. I feel better knowing that I’m helping make this Planet a little better, even if it’s one person at a time.
