Almost every time someone reads one of my books, the question of whether or not I’m writing a true story inevitably comes up. My stories are not based on any real events although the characters are composites of people in my life, including myself. I try to write as if I’m telling you the story directly. I think THAT is what draws my readers in: they feel like they are a part of the story!
